One Hour, One Day
Intaglio (aquatint, photoetching)
10” x 10”
2000
“This print is quite process based, with an enlargement of my thumbprint being etched progressively over this plate, one hour at a time in a grid of 2” squares, beginning with one hour in the upper right hand corner and culminating in the center of the thumbprint which was etched for a total of 25 hours (one day, one hour). The plate has many holes where the copper was completely eroded”. E.D.
